About DOMELGABOR

DOMELGABOR: Welcome to the Journey

Hey there — I'm DOMELGABOR, a passionate lyricist, songwriter, writer, blogger, and independent “artist,” not a musician, more like a producer, who grew up listening to and loving all kinds of music and has never stopped developing a passion for it.

Blessed with an endless imagination since childhood, I have always loved creating things, especially through drawing, writing stories and poems, photography, and creating visuals (pictures, collages, videos, montages, etc.). And although I love music, I have never been able to play an instrument well enough to compose a song.

In 2020, during COVID-19, a dear friend of mine introduced me to creating electronic music using keyboard notes and loops in a digital audio workstation (DAW). It was an epiphany! After all these years, I wanted to make my own music, and now I could finally do it.

I began creating experimental electronic music in the first few years and, more recently, have been experimenting with AI music apps to add vocals and enhance my music. Since 2020, I have released more than 100 songs, including 40+ (so far) with my own lyrics, across various genres and styles.

My music is my personal playground, where I blend EDM, House, Dark Progressive House, Melodic House, Trance, Techno, Rock, Alternative Rock, Electric Rock, Math Rock, R&B, Soul, Indie-Pop, Hip-hop, Jazz, Reggae, and more, with various beats and even industrial edges, reminiscent of the 80s-90s, into something uniquely atmospheric and heartfelt.

Think pulsing basslines that draw you in, haunting synths that linger, and lyrics that cut straight to the raw emotions of tension, memory, longing, and quiet defiance.

Growing up as a teenager in the 80s and early 90s, then as a young adult in the mid 90s until the early 2000s, I started this solo project to channel my love for artists like Massive Attack, Faithless, Moby, Portishead, Morcheeba, Jean-Michel Jarre, Radio Head, Nirvana, Sade, Tiesto, Eric Prydz, The Prodigy, Rage Against the Machine, U2, Depeche Mode, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and so many more, as well as my love for House, Progressive House, Techno, Trance, Acid Jazz, Gospel, R&B, Soul and Motown music.

These artists and music genres have influenced and still influence my tracks, always with my own twist, which has evolved from early dark progressive house roots with trance and techno vibes into fuller, more political and dystopian stories conveyed through heavy industrial rock like "Basic Rights," "Rusted Hope," and "Hope is Our Weapon."

However, I usually always go back to my House roots, like with the newly released track "ASCENT" and the full album it inspired: “SPATIUM UNIVERSUM” – a conceptual, sonically cohesive album that I loved creating and listening to on repeat.

Whether it's dystopian resistance anthems or dreamy ascents, every track is born from late-night experimentation, iterative refinement, and a drive to connect on a deeper level.

What ties it all together? A commitment to lyrical honesty and sonic immersion that feels cinematic on big speakers and intimate in your headphones. I'm all about that sweet spot between vulnerability and power, stillness and surge — music that invites you to feel, reflect, and maybe even rise.

Stick around for new releases on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, and more platforms, behind-the-scenes on the creation of the songs, and whatever inspiration brings next.

Thanks for joining the ride — let's create some echoes together!

Take care of yourselves and your loved ones and stay safe.

Best wishes!

Peace!

Dom
