Domelgabor: Music in my brain

Domelgabor: Music in my brain

Writing lyrics and making music have always been a dream of mine since I was a child. Unfortunately, since I am not very coordinated with my hands, I have never been able to play an instrument well enough to create music on my own.

Yet, as I grew up listening to and appreciating all sorts of music from an early age, I have always had music in my mind and brain and developed a good ear along the way. I remember singing, mixing, and remixing songs in my head, making extended or different versions of popular songs. And I have always told myself that one day I will create my own music with my own lyrics, one way or another.

The development of computer and music technologies over the past 20 years, such as DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) software and apps like GarageBand, has made it possible for people like me to access tools to create music without particular knowledge of music or instruments. And more recently, apps like SUNO made it even easier.

Music-generating apps like SUNO suddenly changed the game and the music world, giving anyone with a little creativity the chance to finally express themselves musically and lyrically by creating their own songs with their own lyrics in their own words, sharing their feelings and emotions.

AI haters argue that it isn't real music, but when you take the time to write your own lyrics, find the right voice and music after numerous trials and errors, and then edit and master your songs before publishing, you're essentially doing the same as a lyricist sending lyrics to singers and bands to find the best fit for your songs. The prompt is like telling the singer and the band what you want to achieve (mood, atmosphere, sound, effects, etc.).

Indeed, I compose my own lyrics and produce music and songs using GarageBand, SUNO, and other DAWs, as I'm not proficient enough in singing and playing to perform them myself. However, the finished songs genuinely sound like real music to my followers and me, regardless of whether you enjoy them.

Composing my own songs allows me to convey my feelings, emotions, and moods. This is why I produce multi-genre tracks featuring diverse voices and musical styles, exploring various themes drawn from personal experiences and perspectives.

As previously stated, listening to Domelgabor is akin to tuning into the radio; you never know what will come next. To give you a clearer picture, here is a list of (some of) my songs, categorized by theme.

Domelgabor's songs main themes

Here are the main themes covered in my works within the Domelgabor Sphere in my songs:

Mental Health and Internal Struggles: The 4 Math Rock tracks I produced focus heavily on personal, internal struggles.

Love and Connection:

  • "Baby Let's Go" encourages seizing the moment to travel and live life with a partner (2026).

  • "In This Light (You're All I See)" focuses on coping together during challenging, dark times (2025)

  • "You can feel it" and "You can feel it (3 AM extended mix)" are gentle, cozy, and soulful deep house tracks featuring warm female vocals and a relaxing, atmospheric vibe, designed to capture a sense of joy and inspiration (2026).

  • "Unmapped Love" is a ballad that explores the subjective, universal nature of love beyond romantic partnerships. It emphasizes that love exists in many forms, including connections with family, friends, and others dear to the heart, encouraging the pursuit and feeling of love in all its forms.

Life Reflections and Nostalgia:

  • "A Life I Own" is an autobiographical soft 80 's-inspired rock song inspired by my transition from childhood to adulthood (2025).

  • "Footprints in the Sand" is a gentle ballad, songwriter-style song inspired by memories of walking on a beach (2025)

  • "Imagine that" is a folk/indie-pop song with a "hippie vibe" that serves as a hymn to freedom of mind and self. It focuses on cultivating internal satisfaction and finding happiness from within, rather than relying on external circumstances (2026)

  • "How Beautiful (A Poem Song)" is a poem turned into an indie-folk song with Bossa Nova vibes about childhood souvenirs of the Cap Ferret, the Dune du Pilat, and the Bassin d'Arcachon (2026)

Social Commentary and Spirituality:

  • "Rise Together!" is an uplifting gospel song aiming to inspire people to change their lives and the world before it's too late (2026).

  • "Through the Lens (A photographer's story)" is a ballad/soft-rock/pop that addresses the art and dedication of photographers, and the impact of AI on photography and creative professions (2025).

  • "What's a Dream" is an Art Pop/Cinematic track with rock opera influences that explores the literal and figurative meaning of what constitutes a dream (2026).

  • "Frequency" is a cool, sunny, and soulful reggae-influenced track that explores the harmony among nature, the soul, the body, and the mind.

These are merely a few examples to demonstrate the variety of lyrics I compose and the music I produce to convey my feelings, emotions, personal experiences, and perspectives on the world we live in.

Most of my songs serve as a personal emotional outlet, usually written at night, during insomnia, or to process complex emotions about relationships and daily life struggles with fear, anxiety, doubts, stress, and problematic mental and physical conditions.

Nonetheless, in the face of these challenges, I strive to make my song positive, energetic, and uplifting, since the world already has its share of problems, sadness, and misery. A touch of love and positivity can only benefit both the body and mind, don't you think?

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and for listening to my music; it is greatly appreciated. You are the inspiration that keeps my creativity alive.

Peace!

Dom
