A LIFE I OWN by @domelgabor 2025

My latest track (so far 😁, but definitely not the last) and the fourth track with my own lyrics, all in under a week. I can't stop! It is incredibly addictive and so satisfying! I love writing and creating songs!

For this song, my inspiration was drawn from and inspired by the memories of my own childhood. It is basically my story, my life.

That is why the lyrics are so long, intimate, and personal. And yet, many people can probably relate to these lyrics, as they may have had a similar childhood and life story.

I'm a Gen X. I was a teen in the '80s and early '90s. So, for the music, I wanted something that sounded more like the commercial rock and alternative rock bands of those years, where the singer sings and yells the lyrics with emotions from the heart and gut.

And I think the result is not that bad. What do you think?

Personally, I like it because the lyrics are a résumé of my life, the music sounds like it did during my teenage years, and the song's message is that no matter what, you have to trust and push yourself to continuously learn, grow, and achieve your goals and dreams.

I even put this picture on the album cover, as it looked like an old picture of me from my youth, in the late 80s, when I would often be alone, walking around on the side of a countryside road, on my way to my mother's house (since my parents were divorced and my mother was living in the countryside).
