FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND by @domelgabor 2025

I have always loved writing. As a child, I wrote stories and poems to accompany the drawings and collages I was creating.

Later, as a teenager, I continued writing stories and poems while listening to a wide range of music genres. I even wrote several books that I never published, unfortunately.

I have always wanted to create my own music, but I couldn't for various reasons. Yet, back then, it was not as easy as it is nowadays, and the mentalities were different as well.

Five years ago, a friend introduced me to making electronic music, and I'm grateful she did, as I became hooked on it. I began creating my own experimental electronic music tracks. With the years, my style and inspiration evolved, yet it was only music with no lyrics.

Recently, my son convinced me to add lyrics to my songs. However, I had lost my creativity and inspiration and had not created any music tracks in the last eight months.

However, a few days ago, my inspiration and the desire to write, create new music, sounds, and songs returned.

I wanted to create something different, positive, joyful, meaningful, somewhat spiritual, and uplifting.

Amidst the uncertainties of the world, I sought to bring light into the darkness, offering something hopeful and optimistic.

So, I began writing meaningful and uplifting lyrics. It is not easy, but it is fun, and it is such a satisfying process to put ideas, images, and thoughts into words and create the music to carry them, making them convey an even more meaningful and powerful message to you, the audience.

My last two previous songs (RISE LIKE THE DAWN and HOUSE OF LIGHT) are very uplifting and energetic, with EDM, Trance, Gospel house, and progressive house vibes.

Today, I woke up with the desire to write and create a ballad, something soft and gentle, and my memories of walking on a beach at dawn inspired me.

So, here it is, FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND, my latest track. Close your eyes, relax, focus on the words, and let the music transport you to the beach. It might bring back some memories for you, too.
