FREQUENCY by @domelgabor 2026

My latest track, "FREQUENCY," by @domelgabor 2026, is a cool, sunny, soulful, and relaxing reggae song about the frequency of nature, soul, body, and mind.

Originating in the 1960s from the dynamic urban environment of Kingston, Jamaica, reggae music emerged as a significant cultural expression, reflecting the challenges and successes of its community.

Alongside Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh, Marley’s band, The Wailers, formed in 1963, became the face of reggae music in the 1970s. Bob Marley's solo endeavors ultimately propelled him to global recognition, with iconic tracks such as 'No Woman, No Cry' and 'One Love' enduring as significant cultural references in contemporary society.

The reggae movement of the 1970s and 1980s was a pivotal period, characterized by conscious roots music. This era, spearheaded by artists such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Jimmy Cliff, and Burning Spear, served as a powerful voice for marginalized, struggling communities.

Subsequently, the genre evolved into the more up-tempo, dance-oriented dancehall style of the 1980s. Originating from the challenging urban environment of Kingston, Jamaica, reggae achieved global recognition, significantly propelled by the influence of sound systems.

The inspiration for this song came recently while listening to Bob Marley's "One Love." The compelling vocals, distinctive sound, and overall ambiance resonated deeply, prompting a desire to create a song that would serve as a tribute to his remarkable artistry and musical legacy.
