NOT YOUR ENEMY by @domelgabor 2026
"NOT YOUR ENEMY" is an energetic Math Rock song about relationships with people, whether at home, at work, or anywhere else, that become challenging or even toxic. This occurs when one person tries to prevent tensions, conflicts, and arguments, while the other continually treats them as a scapegoat or, worse, an enemy.
The title "Not your enemy" is self-explanatory: it means someone is trying to de-escalate conflict, signaling they aren't hostile and don't want to fight. This often suggests the other person should drop their aggression, stop bullying, and see them as a potential ally, partner, or just a fellow human, rather than an adversary to be defeated.
It's a plea to stop seeing differences as threats and to shift from a competitive or opposing mindset to one of cooperation and understanding.
Like most of my songs, this is a subject many of us can relate to, as it happens more often than not.
