DOMELGABOR - Portrait - Feb 2026

Even though there are some photos of me on my social media, I was recently asked about my actual appearance. So, here is a portrait of me, DOMELGABOR, to give you an idea.

I'm generally not into taking selfies. I typically don't enjoy having my picture taken, but occasionally, I capture self-portraits to share on social media. Over the years, I've had friends or colleagues take my photos, but the best ones (or, let's say, the ones I like the most)—like the one above—are often the ones I take myself with a timer. I subsequently improved it to enhance its appearance.

I love this photo because it appears natural, relaxed, candid, and unstaged, even though I posed for it. It truly represents who I am. I also enjoy the soft, natural lighting and the black-and-white tones. It resonates with me even more because I'm not smiling, just a faint hint of a smile, as if I'm lost in thought.

For those who don't know me, my name is Dominique Noel. Since 1997, I've been using the creative alias Domelgabor (commonly styled as DOMELGABOR) for the majority of my artistic endeavors.

I developed the "DOMELGABOR SPHERE," a personal, imaginative universe or Paracosm where I showcase my projects. These projects span experimental music across genres such as EDM, House, Rock, Jazz, Reggae, Folk, Indie, Soul, Funk, Ballads, Alternative, and Songwriter Style, as well as songwriting, storytelling, poetry, prose, photography, and visual art.

I have a daily need for creativity, and I must create to satisfy this craving. Since I enjoy writing and drawing and have a vivid imagination, I find great joy in creating. Over the past 6 years, I have written my own lyrics and created music to express my feelings and emotions through my own words and moods.

DOMELGABOR cannot be limited to one voice or music genre; my creations are shaped by my mood, mental state, location, the people around me, the ambiance, my surroundings, current events, my children, daily life, experiences, conversations, books, social media, and the music I enjoy (I appreciate nearly every genre, from classical to heavy metal, and everything in between), as well as my inspirations at the moment of creation.

Therefore, I create songs with diverse voices, musical genres, and styles. As I like to say: listening to DOMELGABOR music and songs is like listening to the radio, where you never know what you're going to hear next.
